How to Make Chocolate Cake With Avocado Instead of Eggs and Butter

This extremely delicious vegan cake is light, but rich in chocolate flavor and healthy fats.  Moreover, it contains avocados, which are one of the healthiest fruits on the planet!

This is how to prepare this cake:



  • 5 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed until smooth
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 cups sucanat sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups water


  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed until smooth
  • 5 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Method of preparation:

You should preheat the oven to 350, and grease and flour two round pans for the cake.

Then, you should whisk the flour, dark chocolate cocoa powder, baking powder, kosher salt, and baking soda in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk the olive oil, water, avocado, vanilla extract, and in the end, add the sucanat sugar.

Then, pour this mixture into the previous one, and mix well until they are well combined. Divide the mixture between the cake pans, and bake for half an hour.

Leave the cakes to cool, and then add frosting on the first cake layer, and to the top of the second cake. Add the rest to the top of the entire cake.
